This print is lovingly restored from a French Government World War I rations poster featuring a charming hen and her eggs. Remastered from the original World War I-era newsprint broadside which was literally decaying in my hands, I was able to bring it back to life as a high quality archival print. Printed on 100% cotton archival fine art paper with a slightly-textured matte finish.
Part of a series of 5 prints (Wine, Wheat, Fish, Potatoes).Chicken lovers and WWI history enthusiasts rejoice!
The translation is:
“Let’s Take Care of the Poultry. I am a Fine War Hen. I Eat Little and Produce a Lot”
Note: Now available in the original aged golden color or a bleached country white (see photos).
Our prints are high-quality Archival Giclée pigment prints on 100% cotton (tree-free) 255gsm Archival Fine Art paper.
