Late 19th Century Star Map with minimal lines, hand drawn stars, and stippled forms that give it a very modern quality. No Zodiac images, just constellations.
This is a single Cosmos large format print. Look for the triptych versions in my shop.
About the source:
“Each of the above Circular Maps is a true representation of the configuration of the principal Stars at the dates and hours.
Each of the above Circular Maps is the point overhead, or the zenith of the observer; while the horizon, containing the principal compass points, is indicated by the circular line near the circumference.
The large numbers inside the Map are for facilitating the use of the twelve square Star Charts, each number indicating the position of the sky, of the centre of its corresponding Chart.”
