This very wide format print is based on a restored and very rare Antique Constellation Map from 1849, and is rich in black with bold lines and lettering and has an almost Modern feel.
About this map:
“The months marked at the foot of the map are to show the aspect of the Equatorial Heavens about midnight. By noting the stars on the map immediately over the name of the month, and then looking at the sky in the opposite direction to the elevated pole, the different constellations will readily be recognized. In Southern latitudes, reverse the map.”
The print has a 2:1 aspect ratio.
